Teaching

Lisa Freeman is a radical learner and devoted teacher. She focuses on the outsider student as well as those of academic excellence. Being learning-challenged herself, as a dyslexic and hard-of-hearing person, she has a unique sensitivity when dealing with students who are sometimes difficult to reach.

Lisa believes the most important lesson is finding your voice, knowing the story will follow. She is trained to develop curriculum that will compliment the teacher’s course material or provide her own thought-provoking lesson.

Lisa is currently booking lectures and visits to book clubs and classes in secondary schools, colleges, and libraries. She is excited to meet young writers and address LGBTQ topics along with many others.
