I’m here in Honolulu to do another Honey Girl reading at Hawaii State Library on August 1 at 12:00 pm.

I love being back on the island, but the bummer is I’m missing the US Open. Not to worry – the Honey Girl team is down in Huntington to catch all the action. If you see them, ask for a book, post a photo, and I’ll see you next year. Can’t wait to connect with these awesome surfing women.

The waves here are 6-12 ft at Queens. There’s a big summer swell going on and it’s amazing. Too big for me, but I love watching.

If you want to get in on the surf action, don’t forget to stop by Toms on Abbot Kinney in Venice for a chance to win a one-of-a-kind, hand-shaped board by April Newman of Ape Shapes. See details below to enter the contest and call this Honey Girl board your own. I will be announcing the winner on August 21st during a special reading at Toms accompanied by Sprinkles cupcakes, Hawaiian music, and more.

Mahalo and Aloha
